The 5th Annual conference held on board the HQS Wellington in London on 11 & 12 November 2014 provide a significant degree of debate and looked to refocus the theme into other areas of e-Navigation. No longer is ECDIS the primary concern with the development of additional electronic devices on the bridge and as such, their use and the future involvement of such equipment needs to be carefully considered. With roundtable discussion prompting food for thought, the conference organisers intend to publish a Report of Proceedings in early 2015 which it is hoped will be followed by a White Paper generated by a Special Interest Group working in conjunction with IMarEST. Further details of their outcome and the intention for 2015 will be published on this site as soon as they are known. As always, our LinkedIn discussion group remains active with debates generated there on matters relating to the use and operation of ECDIS.
