The lessons learnt on this course have given me not only an insight into the operation of ECDIS equipment, but also a recognition of the legal aspects of the transitions from traditional paper chart-based navigation into the e-navigation era. This is an important aspect of the training and I strongly recommend that Captains and senior officers partake of the 5-day course to enhance their management skills.
